Demo: start Thursday 21st at 2 pm at the "Westbahnhof" railway station in Vienna, where the streets "Gürtel" and "Mariahilferstrasse" meet. How do i get there?
If you want to join a coach after the demo from Vienna city centre to the gathering camp site, please send us an email to info@ar2008.info in advance, we need to know approximately how many people would want to do that. There will be a small transport fee.
If you want to stay at the campsite in your tent over night during the gathering, we would ask for a small fee to cover our costs.
Vegan food will be provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner at lowest cost. If you want to buy additional food for yourself, don't forget that in the Austrian countryside, shops close at Saturday noon and stay closed till Monday morning.
The exact location of the campsite, where the gathering takes place, will be put here on the website about 2 weeks before the gathering starts. Please watch this space!
Program There will be workshops on the campaign topics of fur, vivisection, hunting, veganism, animal farming, animal circus, rabbit farming and possibly others, where we would expect people from different countries to report on their campaigns.
In addition, there will be talks and workshops on different topics of concern to everyone, mostly practical, like how to deal with police repression, how to run demos and how to organize actions and do media work.
